Members of the legislature are also given medical reimbursements, allowances for personal assistants, and other expenses.Bapat proposed the bill for amendment to The Maharashtra Legislature Member’s Salaries and Allowances Act in the assembly.

Lokur and Deepak Gupta suggested that the government could contemplate fixing price of diesel and petrol on par for four wheelers, other than goods vehicles.
